Located in the heart of Kensignton, no.23 & 24 Elvaston Mews was one of Clarisford’s own developments. When the opportunity to purchase two tired mews houses side by side desperately in need of refurbishment, we couldn’t resist.
Clarisford wanted the design and standard of construction to embody all that is important for us as a company and distinguish us from the rest of the field. These two Mews properties will forever be deeply personal for us. We took on the ambitious challenge of extending the existing basement under the carriageway and create a rear lightwell to allow natural light to flood the basement and allow the space to become usable as a kitchen and living room. A new structural frame allowed us to minimize floor depth and convert the loft space into two further amazing bedrooms.
We wanted the interior aesthetic and style to evoke want we want Clarisford to represent; urban, timeless and luxurious. Exposed brickwork and waxed bronze give an industrial loft character which is softened by rich walnut paneling and velvet carpets.
